PKM International Permanent Lecturer of Master of Sharia Economics with the theme: Sharia Banking Practices in Indonesia with Students from Thailand, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung

Pascasarjana-UIN SATU, Master Sharia Economics at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung has held an International Community Service (PkM) activity involving Prof. Dr. Agus Eko Sujianto, SE., MM, with students from Thailand. The activity, which took place on Tuesday, December 06, 2022 raised the theme "Sharia Banking Practices in Indonesia". Prof. Dr. Agus Eko Sujianto, shared his knowledge with Thai students about the developing Islamic banking system in Indonesia. In the event, Prof. Agus Eko Sujianto gave an in-depth presentation on the history, principles, and development of Islamic banking in Indonesia. Students from Thailand who participated in this activity seemed enthusiastic about asking questions and actively discussing with lecturers and students of the Master of Sharia Economics UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. This International PKM activity is expected to broaden students' horizons, build cross-country academic networks, and support the development of Islamic economics at the international level.

Prof. Dr. Agus Eko Sujianto as the head of the Master of Sharia Economics study program also conveyed the importance of applying Islamic economic principles in banking practices to create a fairer and more sustainable financial system. Involving foreign students in PKM activities is certainly a positive step to strengthen academic relations between nations and expand understanding of the development of Islamic economy in various countries. The International PKM activity "Sharia Banking Practices in Indonesia" also provides opportunities for UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung students to share experiences and knowledge with colleagues from Thailand. Cultural exchanges and understandings that occur between the two groups of students are expected to enrich their perspectives related to Islamic economics.

 

Prof. Dr. Agus Eko also expressed his pride in the success of this activity. He hopes that this kind of collaboration can continue to be improved, opening the door to more international cooperation in the future. The success of this International PKM is a clear proof of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung's commitment in presenting quality and relevant higher education in the era of globalization. Thus, through this International PKM activity, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung not only strengthens its position as a superior educational institution in the field of Islamic economics, but also proves that collaboration between countries can be an important pillar in developing and enriching scientific insights in the world of Islamic economics.(gus)
